Day 7
Isaiah 43:1 ~ But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
There are a few people who know me well enough that they call me by my name when they see me out and about but relatively speaking, very few.
The so-called powerful and elite people that people seek to know do not know me and cannot call me by name. I know many of them by name because I see them in my inbox asking for money and on my tv pandering to me and making false promises.
Powerful politicians and powerful movements explain how they will make life better for me. They say that I should fear those that oppose them and only they can fight for me but they typically only want money and power.
Yet, not one of them even knows my name. Yet, not one of them desires to know my name. Yet, not one of them would share a meal with me or fellowship with me in private if given the chance. I am sure there would be a few if given the chance that might want to know my name or be my friend but they are just human beings with superficial power, limited time, and limited resources. Don't get me wrong I don't expect them to be able to spend time with me getting to know me nor do I hold it against them. I am just making a point........
The government knows me but knows me by my social security number and that's it. They take my tax money and do with it what they will without even a thank you. Again, I am just a number without a name.
BUT HERE is where I can rejoice. The creator of the universe, author, and finisher of my faith, THE GREAT I AM knows me by my name. The wonderful counselor, mighty God, The Everlasting Father has the number of hairs on my head counted. God has every tear that drops numbered. God cares for me and fellowships with me. He has washed my feet, He has carried me when I couldn't walk my self, He has covered my mischief and been charitable to me richly supplying my every need. God loves me so much that God has even given me a pet name, a new name, written on a white stone that no one knows but me and God. Oh, oh, and when I, on occasion, allow my spirit to move to His frequency He utters that new name and my soul rejoices.
Yes, today I am blessed. My God knows me by name and I know HIM by HIS name. Every knee will bow, regardless of the superficial power, they cling to here in this world. That is the only authority figure that needs to know my name.
I am rich in faith today. * #blessthenameofthelord . .
