Every month I look at the following information for the previous month then compare to the months before that. Looking at your trends will help you understand your application of the Shibboleth lifestyle. It also helps me stay focused. If you participate in Tiger's Eye, Lion, or Shark days, you could keep stats on those, too. Journaling will be important to help see how you are doing. Your timing chart shows an important visual. To find these stats, you can look at the small grey boxes at the bottom of each day in your timing chart. It shows a different letter for each bit of data you entered in your account. There is a key under the timing chart for each letter. I also look at the weight graph in my profile for the last 30 days, 60, days, and 90 days. It is really motivating to do your stats. It can motivate you to keep doing your best or help you see that you need to exercise your self-discipline muscle and give you the motivation to do that.

You can copy and paste this list into your computer calendar for the 1st day of each month.
Month beginning weight
Month end weight
Number of holidays
Number of perfect days
Any challenges (the ones run by Shibboleth)
Any battles (meaning participating in the Battle Buddy feature of the website) This is a great way for you and some friends to hold each other accountable and have some fun.
Highest weight in month
Lowest weight in month
Any IMF days

If you set rules around creating good eating habits, then make excuses about why it’s ok to disregard them, you might be a food addict.

If you eat a Tostito, after not having one for a while, and you sigh a sigh of relief, you might be a food addict.

If you are a binge eater, you might be a food addict.

If you can’t wait to go to bed so that you can wake up and eat, you might be a food addict.

If you eat food cold, that would be more pleasing warm, you might be a food addict.

Message to me from a friend:

Well.... It's time to make a true change. I am so inspired by how you have kept your weight off. I have gained the weight back and need to restart. Where do I start Kim? My schedule is always crazy and I got lazy. HELP.... How do you do it?

My response:
First and foremost, I’ve decided it is something I want and I am willing to fight for it even if I’m fighting myself at times.

I use Shibboleth as a management system. I like knowing specifically what to do, which I do know now in Shibboleth. Shibboleth helps me measure moderation and know when I must stop. I live within the guidelines whether I want to do it or not. I battle/fight daily, but it’s worth it. I’d rather have to battle some and feel good than give in and not feel good. Believe me though, it’s a battle, and I tell myself “no” all the time.

I can boil this down to just a few things.

In weight loss mode, have no more than six holidays in a calendar month.

Then do the following daily:
1. Set your water out every morning and make sure you drink it.

2. Write down what you eat. Try to write it before you bite it.

3. Eat according to the combinations, from a recipe from the recipe library, food from the restaurant guide, and meal replacements.

4. Have no more than what fits under your hands up to three times a day. If you have a moment of mental weakness, have a freebie, an extra, or a snack. Try not to do all of them.

5. Give yourself 4-6 hours between meals.

Out of these 5 things, which I call my five daily disciplines, only 1 of them has to do with what you are actually eating. The other 4 are habits. It’s the habits that must be formed. They are formed by repetitively applying daily for a body and mind memorization.

After a while, you’ll want to do it consistently. It does take perseverance. It’s never going to be easy like it’s not a problem, but it can become what you do.

I finish breakfast and start thinking about lunch. I finish lunch and start thinking about dinner. I could eat all day. I just know the standards now where I didn’t before. I like being a person with standards. I just didn’t know what the eating habits should be until Shibboleth. Not knowing specifically what to do and having no standards for eating, created bad habits. Now, that I know what they are, I have to correct them.

I’m so thankful to have Shibboleth as a management system. I’m grateful to know what works.

I started rambling. I hope it helps. 💕

Posted this here in case it helps someone else.

Today is the first day of a brand new month. On the first day of each new month, I plan out any holidays I think I might want in the month. I suggest asking yourself the following questions.

1. Am I going on vacation or out of town this month? If so, and you would like to take those days as holidays, please mark them on the calendar.
2. Are there any birthdays, anniversaries, or actual holidays in this month? If so, and you would like to take those as holidays, please mark them on the calendar.
3. Are there any work activities or other events, that involve food, in which I might want to participate?

Once you have marked these days on your calendar, you may have to mark some off to keep your 6.

Of course you can change these holidays around if you need, but this planning helps you have a mental plan for your perfect days.

A few other strategies I like to use are as follows:
~ Don't holiday at breakfast on a chosen holiday unless the event for which I want the holiday is a breakfast. I do this because if the event that I was planning on having a holiday for gets canceled or the food at the event for which I was planning a holiday is not holiday worthy, I can just have a perfect day if I have not holidayed at breakfast.
~ If I am planning a holiday for a luncheon or event, I always take a meal replacement with me in case the food is not holiday worthy.
~ Don't holiday all day on a day where I have scheduled holiday for an evening event. I have done that before and then the food at the event was not holiday worthy. Boy, was I bummed. I could have used that holiday on a better day.
~ It's also a good idea to leave a free day in case you have an accidental holiday while learning the lifestyle or just decide to have a random one.

Once all of your holidays are gone for the month, have perfect days. Live within the guidelines of the lifestyle for the best results.

I would love for you to comment below if this blog post has helped you at all.

Love,
Kim

Carbolite is a low sugar, low carb frozen dessert with a creamy texture like yogurt. Carbolite’s base is made from pure Wisconsin dairy whey and it is sweetened with Xylitol, a preferred choice of sugarless sweeteners. Carbolite is only 8 calories per fl oz, fat free, and contains only 2g sugars per 4oz. serving. Carbolite contains 4 active yogurt cultures which help promote a healthy digestive system. With 7g net carbs per serving and only 2g sugars (no added sugar), Carbolite contains the least amount of sugars of any no sugar added product on the market.

I made a full batch and froze individual servings in single serve containers.

You can also make individual servings using the recipe in the Shibboleth Recipe Library.

It is delicious.

I like to play most games. When I am playing an unfamiliar game with family or friends, I often say, “Let me go last. I will watch how you all play, and then I will know what to do.” I sit, observe, ask questions to understand, and then I play my turn. I think we have all done this a time or two.

There have been times when I realized that I wasn’t very good at a game. Well, I like to win so I need to figure out how to improve my game play. Sometimes that is asking more questions of the other players. Sometimes that is simply asking, “Would someone please hand me the rule book?”

When I get my hands on the rule book and read it, I might say, “Wow! I am not doing this or that or some other move I could be making.” Once I know the rules, I can start applying what I have learned. Do you know how much more fun it is to play the game now? It is a lot more fun to feel confident that you know what to do to win the game or at least be a better player.

Think about this. In this scenario, I learned to play the game from the players who played their turns before me. What if they weren’t the best players? What if they weren’t playing by the rules or using the best strategies to win? These are the players from whom I was learning.

When It comes to winning at the eating game, how many of us have watched the players before us and learned from them? What if those players didn’t play the game well? Are we going to play the game well?

With Shibboleth, I feel like I was finally handed the long-lost, rule book for a game I had been playing for 49 years. Boy, it sure feels good to know the rules and know that all I have to do is apply them to be a better player and, of course, win!

Who wants to win at the game of life with me? All you have to do is learn the “rules” and apply. Let’s WIN together!

Feel free to comment below what you are going to do first to either help you learn the rules or apply the rules you already know.

April 22, 2020

One year ago this week, I joined Shibboleth. It was the Saturday before spring break. I signed up on a Saturday and the next day left on a short family trip. Then went on a work trip at the end of spring break. During those trips, I watched all Travis Martin's original Daily Dose videos. I came back from the trips, went to the grocery store and officially started on April 10. I write this post now because this picture popped up in my memories today. I remember being uncomfortable in my skin and in my clothes this week last year. I don't feel that way this year. Bless the name of the Lord. In fact, this was a new outfit I was wearing because I really didn't fit in the stuff in my closet and you know how it is to go on a trip. You want to feel good. I thought some new clothes would help. Thankfully, between purchasing my new clothes and going on these spring break trips, I joined Shibboleth. I did not get to wear the new outfits long at all. This program works so well that within a month I could not even keep these these shorts up. I am so thankful for this amazing Lifestyle. Thank you Travis and Sasha Martin for blessing others with this ministry. May the Lord bless you and your ministry forever.
The picture shows me a year ago. Then last week. The axe picture is because we were at an axe-throwing place.
I am so thankful to all of you reading this post as well. I was looking for a wonderful community to live a lifestyle with, and the Lord showed me Shibboleth and you all.
Thank you to, Janet Witting Gridley, for posting occasionally on Facebook about it. This is how I heard about it.
This is an encouragement to you to share our posts and your accomplishments on your own personal Facebook page. People are watching and need what you have found. It could not be a better time to share with the www.lifetimememership.com for just $59.95. I have even purchased memberships for people, too. Pay it forward.
Love you all! Thank you for your love and support back.
