Out of all root vegetables rutabaga presents the most benefits to your health. It has minerals such as calcium, potassium, iron, phosphorus. It has vitamins such as vitamin E, beta-carotene, almost all group of vitamins B, and the same amount of vitamin C as in cabbage. Besides, rutabaga is a very tasty vegetable and can be used in a variety of recipes making your dinners and even your entertainment interesting.

Roasting rutabaga is a perfect way to prepare this vegetable.  Add some roasted beets (separately roast so colors won't bleed) for a colorful dish.

Remember your portions and combinations.  Although this is a vegetable, it is a bit high in sugars, so it would slow down your fat burning efforts.  This is perfectly fine if you are maintaining.
