Rating: 4.7

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Fage 0% greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Sprite Zero/ Diet Seven Up
  • zero calorie spray butter
  • 2 cups Carbquik
  • Cook Time: 14 min

Description

Recipe should make at least 10 biscuits, but may make more depending on size. You can substitute Kroger Carbmaster milk or Fat Free Fairlife milk for the Fage 0% to make them a little fluffier or use any combination of the 2 ingredients. For instance, you could use 1/4 cup Fage and 1/4 cup Kroger Carmaster. This change will not affect the WLM. Betty Bishop recommends using 1/2 cup Kroger Carbmaster in place of the Fage 0%, she uses 1 3/4 cups Carbquik in the mix and then uses 1/4 cup on the counter to roll and kneed them. She uses a biscuit cutter to cut them and cooks them at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. There are lots of suggestions for amendments to this recipe in the comments section. Just be aware that any additions or changes of ingredients other than the ones mentioned specifically in the recipe itself will likely change the WLM of this recipe. It was amended in 2017 to make it more nutritional and better for weight loss and also to make the biscuits a little fluffier. Carbquick already has alot of fat in it so it wasn't necessary to add fat in the form of MCT or ghee butter so that was replaced with 0 calorie butter spray to give you the butter flavor without the added calories or fat. We also replaced the sour cream that was initially an ingredient with Fage 0% to make it a little more nutritional and give it a better WLM. If you make any other changes to the recipe, proceed with caution and make a note of how your body responds to determine whether it is beneficial. *
